Welcome to the blog

Welcome to our little corner of the internet where we celebrate our Neuro-Diversity and  Home educating lifestyle.

I am a single mother and a dog walker living on the coast of North Wales with my daughter and our pets. I have known since I was a child that I have ADHD, but I've also suspected for a long time that I have sensory processing disorder and a recent psychological review has also revealed that there is a very high probability that I also have autism which has led to me putting my name on the waiting list for a more formalised diagnosis. My daughter has a diagnosis of ADHD, but we also suspect sensory processing disorder and possibly autism as well. I stumbled onto the concept of Home Educating when my daughter was still a tiny baby and I spent a lot of time looking into it as one of the options available to us and by her first birthday I was sure that Home education was the right fit for her and our family.

Baby Girl is now 7 and we did try school at the start of Y3 only to have every concern validated. I found a wonderful school for her, with great staff, low ratios and an amazing attitude towards children and education, as far as schools went, it couldn't be more perfect. We were excited to try it. By the end of the first term we were excited to go back to home education, secure in the knowledge that the school believed she was working at a year 6 level if not above, but could not get her to sit for a simple spelling test to verify their suspicions. So we de-registered her and went back to Home Education.

So here we are, bringing our neurospicy flavour of home education to North Wales and sharing that journey with you. Hoping to connect with some new friends and enjoying our life. So, feel free to drop a message in the comments, say hello and join us for this wacky ride.
